Patch notes

The Protector API is open

Developers, your bot can now rely on Protector's engine: blacklist, scam links, explicit texts and images, in one request.

What protects thousands of servers is now available to your own tools, with a free plan to get started.

Four checks

Blacklist: is a Discord account listed by Protector? The answer is simply yes or no.

Links: known scam domains, look-alikes of discord.com or Steam, URL shorteners leading to a scam. Texts: explicit words even when disguised, fake Nitro gifts and every link in the message. Images: explicit image detection.

Everything is managed on the website

On the Developers page, create up to 5 keys, follow your monthly usage and revoke a key in one click. A key is shown only once: Protector only keeps a fingerprint.

The documentation covers every endpoint, with ready-to-copy examples, limits and error codes.

Free or API Pass

The free plan allows 500 requests a month for the blacklist, links and texts. The API Pass, in Protector's store on Discord, is bought for 30 days: it goes up to 100,000 requests a month and unlocks 3,000 image analyses. Each purchase adds 30 days, with no automatic renewal.

Your data stays yours

Texts and links you send are not stored, and an image is deleted right after its analysis. The API only goes through protector-bot.com: it never gives access to the machines running the bot.

Your turn

Read the API documentation, then create your first key on the Developers page. A question? Join the support server.

Protector

The security bot that keeps your Discord server standing, and now brings it to life too. A question? The support server is there for that.
