Protector switches to Discord's new message format on every server: clearer blocks, profile cards as images and a cleaner /config panel.
This format was tested for several weeks on one of the team's servers. Every layout was reviewed before rolling out everywhere.
The new format everywhere
Protector's replies, logs and alerts now appear in blocks in the bot's colours: title, grouped details, images and buttons in the same frame.
A member's avatar now sits next to their details, below the title, instead of next to the title.
Cards as images
The /config home shows every module in a column image, with its state: on, off or part of a paid plan.
/info-server and /info-user show their card as a clear image, readable in both dark and light themes.
Mentions that bother no one
In this format, a mention can notify. Protector only pings the people who need it, like the owner during an alert: members named in a log or a card get nothing.
Emojis in Protector's colours
Discord's standard emojis make way for 80 emojis drawn for Protector, in the style of its loading shield. 20 of them are animated, where movement helps: urgent alert, ban, health check, search in progress.
Status dots, success and warning keep their colour so they can be read at a glance. On a button or in a menu, the emoji takes its dedicated slot. Where Discord cannot show it, such as a message footer or a form, the usual emoji is shown instead.
A display bug?
