FAQ

What people ask us.

Is Protector really free?

Yes. All protection, moderation (AI included) and management features are free, with no member limit. Premium plans only add optional tools, such as real-time analysis or the outgoing webhook.

Why must the Protector role be at the top?

Discord never lets a role act on a role above it. If Protector's role is too low, it can neither punish an attacker nor restore your channels. The /diagnostic command tells you exactly what is missing.

Can a rogue administrator turn the protections off?

No. Anti-raid, anti-nuke, anti-spam, anti-webhook, bot quarantine and coordinated raid detection can only be changed by the server owner, or by a security role that only the owner can give.

Can the dashboard be used against my server?

The site has no direct access to Discord. It stores a request, which Protector picks up, checks again on Discord (membership, permissions, protected modules), then applies or refuses.

What happens if my server gets nuked?

Protector strips the attacker's powers, alerts the owner, then rebuilds channels, roles, permissions and recent messages from its latest backup.

What data does Protector keep?

Only what it needs: your server configuration, the moderation record and structure backups. Messages are analyzed in real time without being stored, except for the cases detailed in the privacy policy.
